Samsung has contributed to limiting the broadcast of Russian channels in Ukraine
Kyiv, December 18 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Mikhailov) – Samsung has taken measures to limit the broadcast of Russian TV channels banned in Ukraine using its Smart TV platform.
The head of the National Council for Television and Radio Broadcasting, Yuri Artemenko, announced this to the media at a briefing.

“Samsung has notified us that it is taking measures to limit access to Russian TV channels, which are temporarily banned in Ukraine, on TVs with Smart TV technology. She asked providers with whom agreements were concluded to host their applications on the Smart TV platform to stop broadcasting TV channels banned in Ukraine. The providers have assured Samsung that they will comply with the decision of the National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting and Samsung, and the designated channels will not be broadcast using this platform,” he said.
Previously, the National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting appealed to Samsung and LG companies with a request to limit the access of the Smart TV platform to TV channels that are prohibited from broadcasting in Ukraine.
