There has never been a Communist Party in Ukraine - Zhirinovsky on the dispersal of the Communist Party of Ukraine

“The communists also bear responsibility. They started perestroika. In general, there was no Communist Party of Ukraine. There is responsibility here; it never existed. They had Petliura, Skoropadsky, Makhno, anyone - Kravchuk, Kuchma, but they were not communists. The Communist Party of Ukraine was imposed on them from Moscow,” the politician noted in an interview with the Rossiya 24 news channel.
“And even the first secretaries, I remember, Shelest was... He was a nationalist. That is, the nationalists were dressed in communist costumes. This is the problem with Ukraine today. That is, when they were allowed to take off the clothes of Ukrainian communists, there were out-and-out nationalists inside,” complained Vladimir Zhirinovsky.
He explains today’s persecution of Simonenko’s followers simply – the nationalists were replaced by the Nazis:
“Simonenko? Where should they go, this is already a threat of fascism... These are no longer just nationalists, these are people who are pouring blood into Ukraine, repeating the path of Germany for 29, 33 years,” the LDPR leader is convinced.
