Who to believe? The Zelensky candidate criticized Kuchma for his words about the LDPR
The blockade of the LPR and DPR will be lifted by Ukraine only when the former Ukrainian owners regain control of enterprises on the territory of the republics.
Ukrainian representative Leonid Kuchma stated this following a meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group in Minsk, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“All our work should be a two-way street, all processes should take place solely on the basis of reciprocity. Only after the return of Ukrainian assets to the Ukrainian legal field can we talk about revising the decision of the National Security and Defense Council on the introduction of trade restrictions in relation to the occupied areas of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions,” Kuchma said.
In his blog, journalist and candidate for the Verkhovna Rada from the pro-presidential Servant of the People party, Alexander Dubinsky, criticized the statement of Kuchma, appointed by President Vladimir Zelensky, and called his words lobbying for the interests of the oligarch Rinat Akhmetov, who had large assets in the LDPR.
“There is no talk of any people or world agreements, because today Kuchma said that lifting the blockade from ORDLO is possible only after Ukrainian assets in that territory return to the legal field. This complex formulation means only one thing - Kuchma is saying that normal trade with ORDLO is possible only when Akhmetov is given back his factories on the territory of the LDPR. Then, they say, we will start selling you products, services, supplying water and electricity. Otherwise, suck it... Friends, this is not about reconciliation, this is about Akhmetov,” Dubinsky said.
