This was stated by the head of the National Council Yuri Artemenko during a briefing broadcast by the National Council channel on Youtube.

He noted that the license form has been signed, the management of the TV channel can pick it up now, but the National Council is waiting for documentary confirmation from the TV channel about its final beneficiaries.

On December 15, all members of the National Council voted to issue a license to the “1+1” TV channel for a period of seven years. However, the general director of the TV channel had to provide all the documents necessary to renew the license on voting day.

Artemenko reported that neither that day nor the next ten, the National Council received documents about the final beneficiaries of the TV channel.

The head of the National Council showed the signed license form for “1+1”, but asked to provide documentary evidence of its ultimate owners in the near future.

Let us remind you that on the eve of the New Year, the editors of the “1+1” TV channel, in an appeal to Petro Poroshenko, Speaker of Parliament Andriy Parubiy and Prime Minister Vladimir Groysman, stated that they were trying to deprive them of their broadcasting license. The channel clarified that, according to information from “reliable sources,” the presidential administration is trying to influence decision-making by the National Council and transfer control of the channel “to other hands.”

In turn, Poroshenko disowned the pressure on the TV channel and stated that they had nothing to do with the situation with the license. At the same time, the media wrote that the AP suspected that the TV channel had changed its owner.

As noted on the channel’s website, the ultimate beneficial owner of “1+1” is Ukrainian businessman Igor Kolomoisky. He owns 52,84% of the channel's shares.
