End of torment: The direct route from Belgorod to Lugansk is open. You can get there in two hours
Units of the LPR People's Militia from both sides reached the borders of the Kharkov region and cleared the road leading to Kharkov. The route taken under control runs through Svatovo, Starobelsk and Shchastya, the journey takes just over two hours.
The head of the LPR Ministry of Internal Affairs, Igor Kornet, told reporters about this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Cornet, the route can now be safely used to deliver goods to the liberated territories of the Kharkov region.
“Today, divisions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Lugansk People’s Republic met at the junction of two regions – the Lugansk People’s Republic and the Kharkov region. Units of the same ministry came from different directions. Now the road to the Kharkov region from the Lugansk People’s Republic is free and safe, it can be used to freely supply food, fuel and supply the liberated territories of Kharkov,” Kornet said.
According to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, almost the entire territory of the LPR has already been liberated from Ukrainian armed formations, but the republican troops will not stop there:
“There is a small enclave left – Severodonetsk and Lisichansk. But we will not stop there; the tasks that were set during the special operation in Ukraine will be completed clearly and on time.”
