This is stated in the updated forecast balance of the UES of Ukraine for 2017, signed by the head of the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry Igor Nasalik on May 23, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

Exports to Eastern European countries, in particular, were reduced from 4,752 billion kWh to 4,735 billion kWh, and to CIS countries (Moldova) - increased from 0,81 billion kWh to 1,374 billion kWh.

The forecast for electricity production in Ukraine in 2017 was reduced by 0,5% - from the previously expected 158,948 billion kWh to 158,202 billion kWh. The updated balance assumes the production of 2017 billion kWh by nuclear power plants in 84,421 (share - 53,36%), gas power plants - 48,958 billion kWh (30,95%), combined heat and power plants (CHP) and cogeneration plants - 11,535 billion kWh (7,29%), hydroelectric power plants (including under the “green tariff”) - 8,375 billion kWh (5,29%), pumped storage power plants - 1,707 billion kWh (1,08%), alternative sources ( SPP, WPP and others) - 1,68 billion kWh (1,06%), block stations - 1,526 billion kWh (0,96%).

The forecast for (gross) electricity consumption in Ukraine in 2017 was reduced by 0,2% - from the previously expected 149,355 billion kWh to 149,004 billion kWh.

Let us remind you that DTEK Trading (Ukraine) and Energocom (Moldova) signed a contract for the supply of Ukrainian electricity for the period from April 1, 2017 to March 31, 2018. Ukrainian propaganda immediately raised an incredible fuss around this contract: they say, it’s a victory, Ukraine is ousting Russia from the Moldovan electricity market.
