Confusion: On Akhmetov’s TV channel, the oligarch was called a “rooster”
The live broadcast, which was broadcast from Kyiv by the Ukraine 24 TV channel by the country's largest oligarch Rinat Akhmetov, turned into an embarrassment.
As a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, the incident occurred at a time when a TV channel journalist joined the studio and talked about the environmental friendliness and speed of traveling around Kyiv by bicycle during the lockdown.
To make her points more convincing, she decided to stop a passing cyclist. “You see, the man has gone. Good afternoon to you. Let's ask now. Good afternoon, why did you choose this type of transport?” the journalist asked.
- Good afternoon. Because Akhmetov is a rooster,” the cyclist answered and rode on.
It was clear that the journalist was confused and, after saying a few phrases, gave the floor to the presenters in the studio.
“You had to stop, take the microphone in order to shine your intellect on the whole country like that. “We sometimes meet very strange people in our lives,” the channel’s host tried to save the situation.
