Congressmen called on the US President to start supplying weapons to Ukraine

According to the Associated Press, 348 congressmen voted for the resolution, 48 against.
Congressmen are calling on the president to provide military assistance to Kyiv while “Vladimir Putin’s Russia is relentlessly pursuing political, economic and military aggression that undermines the independence of Ukraine.” It is explained that the aggression consisted of the “illegal forceful occupation of Crimea by the Russian military”, support for the “separatists”, including the supply of lethal weapons, tanks, artillery and missiles to them. The document calls “aggression against Ukraine” “the most visible and recent manifestation of the Kremlin’s revisionist policy,” seeking to “redraw international borders and impose its will on neighboring states,” including US NATO allies.
Congressmen point out that they have already given the US President the power and financial authority to provide military support to Ukraine, including through the Ukraine Defense Act of 2014, ratified by Obama in December 2014.
