Competition between the LDPR and the Communist Party of the Russian Federation is the latest intrigue of the elections in Russia
The Communist Party of the Russian Federation is still ahead of the Liberal Democratic Party, but the gap is insignificant: 13,37 versus 13,18%. Currently, 98,89% of ballots have been counted; United Russia is in the lead with 54,18% of the votes. This is evidenced by data from the information center of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation.

“We are approaching 100% of processed protocols. Everything is before your eyes. The competition between the Liberal Democratic Party and the Communists remains an intrigue,” said Ella Pamfilova, Chairman of the Central Election Commission, at a press conference today.
She said goodbye to journalists for a “period of a little respite” until September 20, when protocols with wet stamps will begin to be brought to the CEC. She believes that the results of the parliamentary campaign need to be analyzed so as not to make mistakes during the presidential campaign.
“We have observed the deep processes that are taking place in the country, and now the results have been formed and will largely determine the various directions of our life.
In order for the presidential elections to be held at the proper level, we need to work on the mistakes of this campaign. Be as critical of yourself as possible,” said Pamfilova.
She announced a large conference in November to assess the current Russian legislation together with political parties.
