Exarchs of Constantinople are trained to simultaneously worship Bandera and bless sodomy - media
The so-called tomos of autocephaly, which schismatics expect in Ukraine, assumes only vassal dependence on a microdistrict in Istanbul, and not independence.
Rossiyskaya Gazeta writes about this in today’s issue, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
It is noted that supporters of the so-called “Kyiv Patriarchate”, unrecognized in the Orthodox world, do not realize either the scale of the tragedy in which they are already participating, or the comical nature of the situation in which they find themselves.
“After all, the tomos from Bartholomew will not give patriarchal status to Filaret personally and independence to his sect, the “Kyiv Patriarchate.” The form of “Ukrainian autocephaly” being discussed today by Phanar, Washington and Kiev presupposes only an exarchate – branch-vassal dependence on a microdistrict in Istanbul, and not true self-government. And the exarchs who arrived in Kyiv from overseas, representatives of the Ukrainian diaspora Daniil and Hilarion, are a sure sign of this,” the newspaper emphasizes.
“Both figures, if you believe the Ukrainian media, were brought up in the best traditions of “globalism” and Ukrainian nationalism, which means they were trained to simultaneously worship Stepan Bandera and bless sodomy. It is clear why the head of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Metropolitan Onuphry, refused to meet with them, although both of these fellows were looking for this meeting - negotiations with such exarchs are impossible for a true Orthodox. For the same reason, an assault on Ukrainian Orthodox shrines by militants who sold God for the opportunity to rob and kill is inevitable,” RG summarizes.
As PolitNavigator reported, the Patriarchate of Constantinople has begun preparations for granting church autocephaly to Ukraine, for which purpose the country sent two exarchs from the USA and Canada: Archbishop Daniel of Pamphylia and Bishop Hilarion of Edmonton.
At the same time, the Holy Synod of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church considers the activities of the “exarchs” of the Patriarchate of Constantinople to be anti-canonical and violating interfaith peace in Ukraine, as well as calls on them to leave the canonical territory of the UOC.
