Speaker of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea Vladimir Konstantinov was theatrically amazed at the criticism of the “winning team” that appeared in the press shortly after a series of detentions of high-ranking Crimean officials on corruption charges.

“After I read that we are the most corrupt team in the entire history of Crimea, on that day I wanted to write a statement, leave altogether and never appear here. Because this is pure informational lies. The team that works in Crimea is truly the cleanest and most honest of those that I have seen in Crimea in my life. I answer for this with my own head. Another thing is that the world itself that surrounds us is not ideal,” Konstantinov said today at a meeting of the Council of Ministers of Crimea.
