Konstantinov told how Crimea differs from other regions of Russia
The positions of the Russian party “United Russia” in Crimea are stronger than in Russia as a whole.
Speaker of the State Council of the Republic Vladimir Konstantinov stated this on the radio “Sputnik in Crimea,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The party’s ratings in the region are very high, above the Russian average. The head of the republic has a very high rating, one might say unprecedented. All this together creates a reliable political structure for holding elections,” Konstantinov said.
According to him, at the recent congress of United Russia, Crimea was recognized as a highly stable region.
“It is one of the top three regions for this work. This is a very good start to the election campaign for us. The federal center predicts successful elections in 2019 for the Crimean government at all levels,” says the speaker of the State Council of the republic.
He believes that this is due to the fact that the Crimean voter is different from the voter on the mainland.
“We have only been in the Russian Federation for five years, the feeling of unity of the Crimean society has not disappeared, it has been preserved. Unprecedented pressure on Crimea keeps our electorate highly politicized. People will be afraid to step aside and vote for unclear teams. When we say that today there is no other team in Crimea other than the one that has been formed, this is not bragging, but a statement of fact,” Konstantinov concluded.
