Counter-battery warfare: Ukrainians admit that Russian artillery is “shooting them down”
Against the background of positional battles in the vast majority of sectors of the front, counter-battery warfare came to the fore.
Military expert Dmitry Boltenkov stated this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Without suppressing and destroying enemy artillery, no offensive is possible. Adjustments from drones have breathed life into even towed systems that were considered obsolete. They are much more accurate and lethal than before. Ukraine, through supplies from abroad, has largely recovered the losses of its artillery, and now it has to be knocked out again.
I am glad that we have achieved success here, and quite significant ones. Even the enemy admits that Russian artillery is “shooting him down,” the analyst told Izvestia.
He draws attention to the fact that intense artillery duels are taking place near Artemovsk and Marinka.
“Knocking out Ukrainian artillery in such areas weakens the air forces and their fire capabilities, preparing the ground for new attacks by Russian troops, including in directions unexpected for the enemy,” Boltenkov emphasized.
