“The “counter-offensive” will not be a solemn parade, long battles await us” - VSUshnik
Social networks are overheated with expectations of a Ukrainian counter-offensive, but the Ukrainian Armed Forces are already suffering heavy losses and, unlike Internet users, have no illusions about an “easy walk.”
Trans-Ukrainian journalist Kirill Sazonov, who fled from Donetsk and has now joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine, stated this on air on the Politeka Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“As for expectations, indeed, when you get to the Internet, look at social networks and are a little shocked there - we have already won on social networks, we are confident without casualties, that’s it, all that remains is a “counter-offensive”, we will easily and naturally reach the borders. It is not that simple. There are casualties every day, and there are also losses of the Ukrainian army, we take out the wounded every day.
That is, everything is not simple, and the “counter-offensive” will not be a solemn parade, it will be very tough battles, it will be very slow, difficult and at a very high cost, we must not forget about this, that is, there is no complete “victory” yet. So we don’t simplify, we don’t expect something easy,” said the VSUshnik.
“As for when this will happen, I really like the forecasts, there, in two weeks, when it dries up, on May 9 by the date - everyone knows everything, I have a feeling that everyone except us has a direct connection with president, and he, and he has a plan for two years ahead,” Sazonov complained.
