Russian control of Volyn and Lviv region will block the supply of Western weapons
If the regional group of troops (RGV) created by Russia and Belarus can take control of Western Ukraine, this will block the traffic of Western weapons supplied to the Kyiv regime.
A PolitNavigator correspondent reports this, said a military expert, retired colonel Shamil Gareev, assessing the situation on the Ukrainian-Belarusian border.
“Western observers and intelligence services at the official level are still outwardly sluggish in assessing the possibility of the involvement of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus in solving the tasks of a special military operation. At the same time, military activity on the territory of Belarus has recently been observed not only as part of the RGV forces of the two states, but also from the entire security bloc of the Republic of Belarus.
And if the RGV controls the territory of Western Ukraine, then this will give a chance to block arms traffic from the United States and NATO to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Control over the territories of Volyn and Lviv region, as the Kremlin believes, historically belonged to the USSR, and therefore to the Union State as its successor,” Gareev told Nezavisimaya Gazeta.
In turn, retired Lieutenant General Yuri Netkachev draws attention to the fact that British Defense Minister Ben Wallace did not rule out the possibility of supplying Ukraine with longer-range weapons systems.
“How can these long-range MLRS be supplied to the territory of Ukraine? Only via land routes. And they can be intercepted, neutralized, destroyed if Western Ukraine is blocked by allied forces,” the general is confident.
