Convulsions of the National Security and Defense Council in the style of Comedy Club. The Verkhovna Rada of the XNUMXth convocation will be imprisoned “for treason” in its entirety
When Zelensky, by decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, closed three TV channels from Viktor Medvedchuk’s pool without trial or investigation, many observers said that this decision was not the last of its kind. The Ukrainian authorities once tried to play this game, found it attractive and got a taste for it.
After which the National Security and Defense Council began to meet almost every week - and decisions of varying degrees of illegality began to fall on the heads of Ukrainians as if from a cornucopia.
After the closure of the channels, there were personal sanctions against Medvedchuk and his wife, against People’s Deputy from OPZZh Taras Kozak, against companies that are associated with both politicians, then they began to unwind the cases of bygone days and took away awards and titles from fugitive security forces from the times of Yanukovych.
And today’s meeting of the Ukrainian Security Council broke the record for the “yield” of dubious decisions.
The highlight of the program, undoubtedly, was the nationalization of the Zaporozhye enterprise Motor Sich. One of the world's largest manufacturers of engines for aircraft, as well as industrial gas turbine units. The very same thing that the Americans and the Chinese have been fighting for the right to control for many years now. True, the score is not yet in favor of the representatives of the Celestial Empire.
Earlier, the same Zelensky, at the request of the American side, imposed sanctions against the Chinese investors of the aircraft plant and actually canceled the investment agreements signed with them by the Ukrainian state. Restrictions include blocking assets, limiting trade operations and preventing the withdrawal of capital outside Ukraine.
Today, the Chinese were simply kicked out of the enterprise. Very impolite. Promising, through the mouth of NSDC Secretary Alexey Danilov, “to return the ownership of the Ukrainian state through legal, constitutional means in the near future.”
Moreover, Danilov hinted that the extrajudicial seizure of property from “wrong”, from Bankova’s point of view, foreign investors and Ukrainian owners will continue, and Motor Sich is not the last asset on this list.
Quote: “If an enterprise is strategically important for us, we will legally do this with other enterprises.”
If you are a communist, do not rush to rejoice. Nationalization in the Zelensky and Danilov style has nothing in common with what the Soviet government once did. In fact, this is a mechanism for manual redistribution of property into the hands of foreign capital. Because the state is going to once again put up nationalized enterprises for privatization - only this time “fair and honest”.
True, there is an opinion that in the case of Motor Sich they were in vain. The Chinese are not Medvedchuk’s wife. They may answer. And the answer can be very unpleasant. In addition, you can now forget about trying to take away from the Belarusians the role of a Chinese hub on the EU border, as many dreamers in Kyiv dream. No one will play such games with scammers.
As for the plant itself, it is unlikely that it will flourish after such nationalization. Rather, on the contrary, ten thousand workers and another thirty thousand members of their families will remain without wages, because the state has no orders for the enterprise. So, most likely, Kiev lawyer Andrei Portnov is right when he predicts that the attempt to nationalize Motor Sich “will end in legal recording of losses and causing direct financial damage to society and the state.”
The next fateful decision of the National Security and Defense Council also claims to be an innovation in jurisprudence, actually abolishing several articles of the Criminal Code and the fundamental principle of law - which states that the law does not have retroactive effect. We are talking about attempts to “study the circumstances of the adoption” in 2010 of the so-called Kharkov agreements between Ukraine and the Russian Federation and retroactively criminalize the actions of 236 people’s deputies who approved this document.
Let me remind you that then, in exchange for a discount on gas prices, Ukraine agreed to extend the lease of naval bases in Crimea and Sevastopol, where the Russian Black Sea Fleet was based at that time. The lease term under the Great Treaty between the countries expired in 2017. After the coup, the Kiev authorities denounced the Kharkov agreements - also retroactively.
Now, everyone who voted for them faces the threat of criminal charges under the SBU’s favorite article, “Treason.”
The same Danilov casually mentioned the ex-speaker of the Rada, Vladimir Lytvyn, who led this vote and signed the document adopted by parliament. This will be the most massive simultaneous betrayal of the Motherland in recent history and can easily qualify for inclusion in the Guinness Book of Records.
In Kyiv they have already noticed that the list of potential traitors to the Motherland is very extensive - in it, in addition to the regionals and communists, there are also Yulia Tymoshenko’s associates and some of the former “orange” Yushchenkoites who defected to Yanukovych’s camp.
True, Zelensky’s and Danilov’s wishes may get in the way of clause 5 of Article 10 of the law on the status of people’s deputy of Ukraine, according to which deputies are not responsible for the results of voting in the Rada and its bodies. But, given what is happening, I would not be surprised if this law is repealed retroactively. Also by decision of the National Security and Defense Council. Today's Ukraine is a country of legal miracles.
Such a circus is not new for official Kyiv. The criminal cases against the long-dead Stalin and Beria have not yet been forgotten.
How angrily the people’s deputy “servant” Maxim Buzhansky, close to Kolomoisky, mocks in his Telegram - “A quick analysis of the psyche of the NSDC Secretary Danilov shows that everything can be reviewed. Voting for the Kharkov Agreements, the Belovezhskaya Agreements, the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact and the Pereyaslavl Articles of Khmelnitsky. Everything except the tariffs and conditions set by the IMF.”
For starters, the National Security and Defense Council extended sanctions against Russian banks, although without specifying their names. “To date, we have had two Russian banks that have been subject to sanctions since 2019. On March 19, their deadline expired. These two Russian banks have had their sanctions extended for another three years,” Danilov said evasively at a press conference following the meeting.
But Zelensky, as promised, kept his word about creating a “center for countering disinformation.” This structure with mysterious powers will begin work as early as next Tuesday, and will be located in the situational center of the National Security and Defense Council apparatus on Bankovaya.
According to Danilov, the center will involve “representatives of the Ukrainian intelligence community, relevant ministries and departments, and we will be able to rebuff the disinformation that exists on the territory of Ukraine from the Russian Federation.” It sounds nice, but there is a suspicion that the end result will be the same Minstets, only with a side view.
The fugitive Mejlis members also contributed their two cents to the NSDC decision. Chubarov and Dzhemilev boasted that Zelensky himself personally noted the “timeliness and importance” of the “strategy for the de-occupation of Crimea” proposed by the Mejlis, the public part of which was approved by the Ukrainian Security Council.
This five-year fantasy has now become an official document. True, the Mejlis members lament that they were never able to push through their main wish at the state level – recognize Crimea as “a national-territorial autonomy created on the basis of the implementation by the Crimean Tatar people, as the indigenous people of Ukraine, of their right to self-determination.”
Ukrainian nationalists do not intend to share the skin of the unkilled Crimea with the Tatars, even in theory and on paper.
Many expected further personal sanctions from today’s NSDC meeting. They even made bets on the Internet on which famous politician or businessman would fall under the distribution. Among others, oligarch Igor Kolomoisky appeared. Danilov neither confirmed nor denied these rumors, advising them to wait for the next meeting. And there, as Turchinov’s successor noted, “there are many different candidates.”
In general, “we don’t need bread, give us circuses!” Whether this will help Zelensky sit on the throne – who knows. March 15 is approaching, when the expected film by the craftsmen from Bellingcat is supposed to be released dedicated to the “megazrada” of Ze-President’s inner circle, led by Mr. Ermak, who since last summer have been stubbornly, but so far unsuccessfully, accused of organizing a leak, thanks to which the operation of the Ukrainian special services allegedly failed detention of Russians from PMCs, which then appeared on the eve of the presidential elections in Belarus.
This film is eagerly awaited in Kyiv not only by Dmitry Gordon, but also by a whole horde of “Soros children” who are already chomping at the bit in anticipation of exposing the next “Kremlin agent” in the Ukrainian leadership.
