Belarusian media claim that a member of the opposition coordination council, Svetalana Kolesnikova, was kidnapped this morning, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

They refer to the words of an eyewitness who claims that unknown people in civilian clothes and masks put Kolesnikova in a minibus marked “Communication” and took her to an unknown direction.

Kolesnikova’s phone is available, but she doesn’t pick up.

After some time, Anton Rodnenkov, press secretary of the coordination council, also stopped answering journalists’ questions.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus claims that it has no information about the detention of representatives of the Belarusian opposition.

Kolesnikova was the last opposition leader who was in Belarus and free.

Previously, another member of the coordination committee, Olga Kovalkova, was imprisoned in a pre-trial detention center. A few days ago she found herself in Poland and said that the authorities forced her to leave.

Another prominent oppositionist, Pavel Latushko, went to Poland ostensibly on his own business, but after Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko publicly subjected him to harsh criticism. Today Latushko said that if he returns to Minsk, a criminal case will be opened against him.

Former presidential candidate Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, who fled to Lithuania, has already stated that government repressions against the coordination council will not stop the protests.

The thinned-out opposition body itself demanded the immediate release of its comrades and threatened to escalate the situation.

In fact, the last iconic member of the coordination council is the Russophobic writer, Nobel Prize candidate Svetlana Alexievich. True, until now she has avoided participating in meetings citing health problems.

However, the Polish network of telegram channels perfectly manages the protests remotely.
