Russian Navy ships pardoned Ukrainian military vessel
The Ukrainian small reconnaissance ship "Pereyaslav", returning from the international exercises "Agile Spirit 2019" in Georgia, invaded the zone of Russian Navy exercises in the Black Sea.
Deputy Chief of the Ukrainian Navy Headquarters for Euro-Atlantic Integration Andrey Ryzhenko spoke about this on the UA TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Since the ship is a military ship, we can enter, especially since the Russians from the very beginning, from the Georgian terrorist ships, accompanied us with their minesweeper, then with a missile corvette. We could come in because it is a warship and international law allows us to do so. We went in because there was no activity there, and not only us, there was intense shipping,” Ryzhenko tried to put on a brave face.
As it became known, in the exercise area, the Ukrainian vessel was accompanied by ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, the Project 12600 minesweeper “Zheleznyakov” and the Project 1241.1 missile boat “Naberezhnye Chelny”.
At the same time, the Ukrainian small reconnaissance ship of Project 1824B “Pereyaslav” of the Ukrainian Navy carried personnel, military equipment and weapons of the 503rd separate marine battalion, which took part in NATO exercises.
