Kornilov is perplexed: “Ukraine is fighting for the dirtiest and most dangerous gas in the world”
For Ukraine, the American statement that Russian gas is supposedly the dirtiest in the world was a “balm to the heart.”
The former deputy head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, and now the adviser to the Minister of Energy of Ukraine, Elena Zerkal, wrote about this in her blog, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Carthage must be destroyed. Russia’s gas export pipelines must operate within the limits of the Third Energy Package,” she believes.
According to her, representatives of the United States, Germany and Ukraine agreed on this during yesterday’s “Crimean Platform” forum. At the same time, the official claims that the positions of Ukraine and the United States have become closer, and Germany allegedly found itself in the position of “we are trying to justify ourselves somehow,” but this is not working out well.
“The head of the US Department of Energy, Jennifer Grönholm, was simply brilliant. The thesis that Russian gas is the dirtiest in the world due to huge CO2 emissions during production and transportation, as well as corruption, blackmail and manipulation is simply a balm on the heart,” added Zerkal.
Her post attracted the attention of political commentator Vladimir Kornilov.
“Adviser to the Minister of Energy of Ukraine Elena Zerkal, like a little child, rejoices at the unsubstantiated statement of the Americans that Russian gas is “the dirtiest in the world” and that it is therefore dangerous during transportation. He writes that this news is “just a balm for the heart.” Something I can’t understand, is it not Ukraine that is frantically fighting to preserve the transit of this “most dangerous gas in the world”??? If Kyiv accepts the American approach, then it urgently needs to abandon the transit and consumption of this gas! This will be a “balm” - a balm for all balms,” Kornilov notes with sarcasm.
Thank you!
