Coronavirus has intensified the “white terror”
Several parties are interested in spreading rumors and untrue information about the coronavirus.
Political scientist and sociologist Mikhail Galitsky stated this in a commentary to Komsomolskaya Pravda, answering a question about the reasons for the spread of this kind of fakes.
“Several parties may be interested here. The first ones do it with commercial intent. This may include rumors about food shortages. This way you can speed up sales. Salt, cereals, hygiene products, when there is no hysteria in society, are not in the same demand as bread and milk,” Galitsky said.
In addition, he says, fake news can be spread to create panic.
“This is a type of hooliganism that even has a name - “white terror.” But who is behind it is the question. Two options: just fun or working out the goal - to sow panic in society. These are black political technologies,” the expert believes.
He points out that fakes are circulating not only in Russia.
“In England, for example, they are now discussing how allegedly 70% of the population will die from coronavirus, and the survivors will gain lasting immunity. In the United States, during each epidemic, the demand for weapons and the construction of individual bunkers increases. You will be surprised, but it’s all because of the idea that has been broadcast in comics and films for a very long time - suddenly a zombie apocalypse will come,” added Galitsky.
As PolitNavigator reported, Russian doctors admittedthat the coronavirus epidemic can no longer be stopped, but they promise that a vaccine against this disease will appear in the near future.
