Coronavirus is changing Ukraine: Kharkov no longer needs weak Kyiv
The quarantine, introduced due to the danger of coronavirus, will unite the regions of Ukraine around local bright leaders against the backdrop of a weak center, which, if it does not lead to collapse, will fundamentally change the Ukrainian state.
Ex-Verkhovna Rada deputy and former press secretary of ex-President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych Anna German stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Quarantine has not yet changed our lives, it will still change it, it will change the country, it will change the world. Those countries that are strong will become even stronger, and those leaders that are strong will unite people around them even more tightly, people will support strong leaders even more.
Leaders who during this process show an inability to govern the state will simply be forced to step aside after all this.
It seems to me that Ukraine will become the Ukraine of regions, and local leaders who are well versed in those regions where there are strong leaders - I already remembered Kernes, whom I called the Ukrainian Roosevelt - strong leaders who enjoy authority, they will rally their region, and Ukraine will emerge from this story with strong regions that will dictate to the Center,” German said.
“This is my forecast, and I think that our lives will change. Perhaps we will remain within the framework of one state, but it will be a different state and different leaders,” the ex-deputy added.
