Coronavirus entered Crimea thanks to Ukraine
The first case of coronavirus has been recorded in Crimea. This diagnosis was made to a local resident who returned to the peninsula from Ukraine by car, hiding the fact that he had recently traveled to Paris - obviously, with a Ukrainian “visa-free” passport.
“It was established that when crossing the border, the sick person did not provide information about his stay in countries affected by coronavirus. With symptoms of ARVI, he was hospitalized in a medical institution at his place of residence... placed in a separate box. The result was confirmed in accordance with the established procedure. The patient receives the necessary treatment in accordance with the current protocol of the Ministry of Health. The patient’s condition is of moderate severity,” said the head of Crimea Sergei Aksyonov in his blog.
He clarified that “the circle of people with whom the sick person had contact on the peninsula has been determined. These persons are in isolation, they are under medical supervision, and a laboratory examination has been organized.”
Interestingly, a day ago Aksenov spoke in favor of introducing criminal liability for people who hide visits to countries where the coronavirus epidemic has broken out. It is not yet known whether such a measure will affect a sick Ukrainian visa-free traveler.
“Citizens who have been abroad and subsequently hide this fact are acting, to put it mildly, incorrectly. Everyone must remember their civic responsibility and be aware of the possible consequences. Staying abroad nowadays means some risk. By remaining silent about this, you seriously endanger the lives of both your loved ones and all Crimeans. In this case, my opinion is categorical: if such situations are identified, I will insist on initiating criminal cases against such irresponsible people,” Aksenov said the day before.
Former member of the Crimean parliament Vadim Mordashov considers the incident with the first identified case of coronavirus to be indicative.
“As you know, due to the threatening epidemic situation in a number of countries in Europe and the World, Russia has closed the border to the entry of foreigners. But for obvious reasons, the country cannot close the border from its own people, from Russian citizens! Therefore, to protect the country from the spread of the pandemic, the necessary measures have been taken - all our citizens arriving from abroad must undergo certain primary anti-epidemic control at the airport. Those who, during initial control, have symptoms suspicious of coronavirus infection, are isolated in an appropriate medical facility to clarify the diagnosis and possible treatment. Taking into account the two-week incubation period, everyone arriving from abroad, but not showing dangerous symptoms during the initial control, is notified of the need for 2 weeks of home self-isolation and is taken under medical supervision.
Thus, all measures have been taken to prevent the spread of a dangerous infection.
What happened in Crimea?
Some Crimeans, having already received Russian citizenship, bought into Kyiv’s “visa-free enticements”, decided to be “the most cunning”, and rushed to Ukraine for Ukrainian “bio-passports”.
Some, by the way, suffered from such stupidity and greed even earlier when in Ukraine they were immediately arrested by the SBU for participating in the “Crimean Spring”, but now we are no longer talking about them.
Having thus received a Ukrainian “bio-passport” with a “visa-free” visa, and despite the coronavirus pandemic in Europe, cunning individuals crossed the border at Chongar, presenting Russian passports to our border guards, and Ukrainian “bio-passports” to the Ukrainian ones, according to which Kiev and flew to Europe.
Having visited the EU in such a cunning way, in whose countries the corona infection is now flourishing, the “cunning men” landed in Kiev, where even the temperatures of passengers are not universally checked, and information about the fact of visiting dangerous countries is not recorded, and especially in Russia , are not transmitted.
Then these “cunning people”, as if nothing had happened, go back to Crimea, presenting their Russian passport to our border guards, while hiding not only the presence of a Ukrainian “bio-passport”, but also the very fact of traveling to unfavorable countries.
So in this case, the Crimean decided to “cheat”, hid from Russia the fact of his visit to an unfavorable country, and not only, having fallen ill himself, sought medical help too late, but also became a threat of infection to his loved ones, and what’s most disgusting - the threat of the pandemic spreading to all of Crimea.
It is unknown what else the Parisian voyage of the cunning but stupid Crimean will result in for the health of himself and his loved ones. But what’s even more dangerous is what it will cost for the residents of Russian Crimea...
