Coronavirus disrupts Ukrainian elections
Local elections in Ukraine planned for the fall may be moved to a later date due to the fact that the coronavirus epidemic drags on, and this will have a bad impact on the position of the Servant of the People.
The head of the Third Sector center, Andrei Zolotarev, said this in an interview with Capital, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The idea of postponing the elections to 2021 is in the air now. Everything will depend on the situation with coronavirus. If we more or less come out of quarantine before August, the elections will take place on schedule. If everything remains until August - we will have a peak only in May - then the likelihood of postponing the elections will become completely obvious.
And then the sooner you hold elections, the better, it will only get worse. Considering all the current trends, you will no longer be able to build a party. Accordingly, you will recruit candidates from the Servant of the People according to your horoscope,” said Andrey Zolotarev.
