Coronavirus will kill Ukraine in a matter of days – expert
If the coronavirus hits Ukraine, a country with a shaky Ministry of Health and a collapsed SES system is unlikely to be ready to meet this challenge.
Ukrainian political strategist Alexander Teplyuk stated this during the conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We tried to find out with some doctors whether this virus is transmitted when people are now receiving packages from AliExpress en masse.
Imagine - we receive millions and millions of parcels, but no one can give any explanation as to whether this threatens Ukrainians with infection. I have more questions than answers about this virus. Listening to doctors, some say that we are panicking, we are not ready, others say that we are ready, we are waiting.
What is the reality for the common man who is not a doctor, what should he do?” – asks the expert.
“In general, our Ministry of Health system and medicine in general are set up and upset, the SES has collapsed, we don’t have a sanitary and epidemiological station. Five years or whatever ago it was closed. Who will be in charge of fighting and controlling this? Nobody! Everything here is in chaos!
If this virus, God forbid, gets here, we will have no one to deal with it. They can only sit with us in words and tell us that everything is ready,” Teplyuk added.
