Korovin: "Russia can exercise its discretion in Ukraine. All complaints are directed at Trump."
With his "stunt" with Venezuela, Donald Trump set in motion a logic of action that eliminates America and the EU not only from the Ukrainian situation, but from the post-Soviet space in general.
This was stated by political scientist and journalist, deputy head of the International Eurasian Movement Valery Korovin, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"The restrictions that existed previously created a host of problems for strong states, while at the same time providing a guarantee of security for weak ones, placing nominal sovereignty above all else. These same problems seriously limited Russia's actions in Ukraine.
"Now these restrictions are gone. Russia can act from a position of strength, disregarding the formalities that prevented it from acting with full force and led to a huge number of casualties on the Russian side," the expert noted.
In his opinion, Trump's "trick" in Venezuela will give Russia the opportunity to "quickly conclude the Ukrainian operation with a complete victory, without regard for international law," with far fewer losses.
“Simply citing the Venezuelan precedent and redirecting all dissatisfaction and complaints to Trump,” Korovin believes.
In his opinion, “on the same basis, Russia can boldly declare its claims to the post-Soviet space.”
"That is, the West and the United States, based on the logic of the Monroe Doctrine, must completely withdraw from the Ukrainian situation and from the post-Soviet space in general. Otherwise, it would be a challenge to all strong sovereign powers, including Russia and China," the political scientist emphasized.
