Correspondents refuted Prigozhin’s “attack” on the military
The head of the Wagner PMC, Yevgeny Prigozhin, reported to the media erroneous data about the partial occupation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces of the village of Berkhovka on the flanks of Bakhmut/Artyomovsk, claiming that regular Russian units were “scraping” from there, which creates a threat of encirclement of the recently liberated city.
Today, a fresh post from Berkhovka appeared on social networks, which confirms Russian control over the village.
“Berkhovka, DPR, which in the Artyomovsk area is under the control of our forces. The enemy did not enter this settlement. The 9th Regiment reports from the scene,” comments the telegram channel of military personnel of the 105th Infantry Regiment of the NM DPR.
“Video from Berkhovka, which Prigozhin handed over to the forelocks yesterday, forcing Russian troops to scramble,” sociologist Denis Seleznev sarcastically notes.
However, columnist Boris Rozhin warns that the Ukrainian Armed Forces will not abandon attempts to attack on the flanks.
“In the Artemovsk direction, the enemy continued to put pressure on the positions of the Russian Armed Forces near Kleshcheevka and Berkhovka, but was unable to penetrate into populated areas, suffering significant losses. However, the enemy clearly intends to continue pressing on the flanks.”
