Corrupt Zee officials are artificially maintaining a shortage of antiseptics and masks – economist
The capacity of Ukrainian distilleries allows them to produce enough antiseptic to satisfy high demand, but officials are preventing an increase in production.
Economic expert Yuri Atamanyuk spoke about this broadcast of the “Goldarb Principle” program on the KPT TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Now there is a total purchase. In January-February, we actively sold all our medical equipment that was needed, but now we are buying it at exorbitant prices. The question arises - what is the problem, having textile production in Ukraine, to organize the production of masks? Why don't you import, duty-free and without value added tax, raw materials - directly to the factories? Why don't you raise our factories, but raise Chinese factories, in this case?
The second question is the problem with antiseptics. I talked to the largest chains, and they all said that we are now ready to buy half a billion worth of antiseptics using prepayment. There are distilleries, again, only a corruption scheme - who will be given the outfit, how much per deciliter to give for the outfit, who will produce. Then the Ministry of Health immediately gets involved - I’ll give this one the technical specifications for an antiseptic, but I won’t give this one the technical specifications for an antiseptic.
In three days you can do this, produce a huge amount of alcohol and in the next three days fill Ukraine with antiseptic, the next week - and the caravans go to Europe.
We could flood Europe with antiseptic - no, we made a surge in grain sales, instead of this grain going to distilleries and adding colossal value. If you make a ready-made antiseptic from grain, then the difference in the jump in the price of the finished antiseptic product from the grain is ninefold,” the expert concluded.
