Corruption scandal in Kyiv: the Deputy Prosecutor General was convicted of appropriating 140 hectares of land and lakes
Kyiv, September 26 (PolitNavigator, Yuriy Kovalchuk) – The family of the deputy head of the Prosecutor General’s Office took away 140 hectares of land and lakes from the state, the Zik TV channel reported.
The authors of the investigation claim that the lands and ponds are located in the Kyiv region between the villages of Sultanovka and Khlevchee.
The plots were allegedly appropriated according to the classic scheme from the 90s. 270 hectares of ponds belonged to the state enterprise "Zabirya". Then the state enterprise was turned into a joint-stock enterprise, which included private firms. Then they left the joint-stock company, taking part of the assets, including land.

The State Property Fund did not have the right to give consent to this fraud, so the prosecutor's office got involved. 130 hectares were returned to the state, and prosecutors gave another 140 hectares to new owners, losing to opponents where a law student would have won, the TV channel reports.
The company that received the land is called Sultanovka Cascade. Its owners are Vyacheslav Danilenko, the son of Deputy Prosecutor General Anatoly Danilenko, Nikita Ilyin, the son of Kyiv City Council deputy Gennady Ilyin, and Ruslan Skoroboviychuk, a people’s deputy. Today the company was transferred to the relatives of these people, the channel’s journalists say.
The Zik TV channel also provided interesting information about how the prosecutor’s office returned funds stolen by the previous government.
After the February revolution, the government and representatives of the prosecutor's office announced that about 150 billion UAH were stolen in Ukraine by the previous leadership. just last year. Of these funds, approximately 133 billion UAH remained in Ukraine. As part of the pre-trial investigation, the prosecutor's office seized UAH 870 million. – less than 1%. The court decided to confirm the arrest only for 26 million UAH, and of this only 380 thousand UAH were returned to the state. – 0,0003%. And this is the price of the work of the prosecutor’s office, the TV channel believes.
Subsequently, the authors of the story stated that they and their loved ones were threatened by unknown persons. Prosecutor General Vyacheslav Yarema was forced to comment on the situation, who stated that he had ordered an investigation into this matter. Yarema also expressed the opinion that the dissemination of this information is a campaign against Anatoly Danilenko, and this land has belonged to his son since 1998.
