Corruption was just flowers - Gladkovsky’s main “evil” was revealed
Ukrainian journalist Alexander Dubinsky on his DubinskyPro channel, together with his colleague Evgeniy Plinsky, announced new facts in the scandal with Ukroboronprom, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Commenting on the urgent dismissal of the main person involved in the scandal by Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, Dubinsky noted that no one had yet brought charges against the Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleg Gladkovsky, there were no suspicions, no statements from NABU, SBU or the prosecutor’s office - all on the basis of just a journalistic investigation.
“He’s not taking it off because he exists. corruption in Ukroboronprom – it exists, existed and will exist. And not because his son and his accomplices stole parts from the Ministry of Defense and resold them for three times the price. This has happened before and will continue to happen. He removes it for completely different reasons,” Dubinsky said.
“In our opinion, the main reason for the resignation is Poroshenko’s desire to remove Gladkovsky from the information field and move him away from himself, because those schemes that may begin to emerge further can hit both Gladkovsky and Poroshenko much more painfully, and not only them two, but throughout the entire business empire of Pyotr Alekseevich,” added Plinsky.
Dubinsky also admitted that the story of the resignation of Poroshenko and Gladkovsky could be agreed upon among themselves, but for the entire entourage of the Ukrainian president, in any case, when they leak their own, this is a very bad signal.
Journalists cited as an example one of the contracts for armored silver jeeps - “obviously not for the ATO”, for each of which Ukroboronprom overpaid 14 thousand dollars.
“What’s most interesting is that they stole about 90 thousand dollars in these jeeps, but it was a clear excess of the price, which was distributed between the offshore companies of Svinarchuk-Gladkovsky and Poroshenko, but for people who are official billionaires, trying to steal 90 thousand dollars is technical error,” Dubinsky noted.
“We are not trying to calculate the entire amount, we show point by point what happened and show the specific fact that the company, the beneficiary of which is Oleg Gladkovsky directly, supplies Ukroboronprom with goods at an inflated price and essentially steals money,” Plinsky added.
According to journalists, Poroshenko brought friends to power precisely so that they would earn money for him.
“This friend Svinarchuk-Gladkovsky, who was supposed to oversee the army, produce new weapons, modernize old ones, is engaged in a simple operation: he has a defense budget, he has his car supply company, and he takes jeeps for this company, resells them at In fact, he’s doing it to himself and withdrawing money from Ukroboronprom to an offshore,” Dubinsky explained.
Previously, Svinarchuk changed his last name to Gladkovsky.
“That is, you pay one and a half percent of your salary for military duty monthly, you sent 5 hryvnia in SMS in 2014-2015 - this is the money that is spent on these schemes,” Plinsky gave an example.
Journalists also noted that the main reason for the official’s dismissal is that Gladkovsky, for Poroshenko, is the person who manages the car assembly business and, among other things, oversees the Russian direction.
“Moreover, the entire auto business has been moved offshore - dozens of companies that lend to each other, buy something from each other, transfer money from different countries, from Ukraine to Russia, withdrawing it from Ukroboronprom. That is, this is a whole complex algorithm for financial fraud, seemingly on a legal level, but not at the moment when you are the leader of the country and are connected with defense activities, and, moreover, you make money from it.
Earning, and in fact, stealing money from Ukroboronprom, Svinarchuk-Gladkovsky took it offshore and used the same money to develop Russian business. And, accordingly, he paid taxes to the Russian budget, financing the Russian army, which, according to Poroshenko, is an aggressor state and invaded the territory of Ukraine. This is the whole cynicism of this story. The company "HUDC Holding Limited" sold jeeps to Ukroboronprom for 428 thousand dollars, and then lent to Russian companies for more than 800 thousand dollars. That is, half of the money went to the development of Russian business.
Moreover, in Russia, a car assembly plant produced cars, another Gladkovsky company put these cars on the market, sold them, made a profit, paid taxes, and a third company services these cars. That is, an auto holding – assembly, sales and maintenance,” the journalists said.
