“Yanukovych’s Wallet” puts its eggs in all baskets
Ukrainian presidential candidate Sergei Kaplin is financed by the fugitive Ukrainian oligarch Sergei Kurchenko, who was called the head of state’s “wallet” in the press during the presidency of Viktor Yanukovych.
Ukrainian journalist Alexander Dubinsky states this in his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
To prove his words, Dubinsky cites a copy of the correspondence between Kurchenko’s “right hand”, ex-head of the board of Brokbusinessbank Alexander Dynnik, and the “right hand” of the former head of the presidential administration Boris Lozhkin, Verkhovna Rada deputy Grigory Shverk, who was in his possession.
Dubinsky claims that the document is dated in the summer of 2014 - on the eve of the Ilovaisk cauldron.
In the correspondence, Dynnik asks Shverk to organize a meeting with Lozhkin and patronage in exchange for his loyalty and support with resources. In particular, Dynnik also mentions his “friendship with Kaplin” there.
“On ObozTV they asked Sergei Kaplin about whether Kurchenko finances him. He huffed and puffed for a long time, and then announced that he was being financed by party members. I affirm that Kaplin is lying. And I do this based on a letter from one of Kurchenko’s henchmen, Alexander Dynnik, to BPP deputy Grigory Shverk. In this letter, Dynnik asks, through the mediation of Shverk, for help from Boris Lozhkin, hoping to remove his name from the international wanted list (currently removed). In return, Dynnik promises support for “BPP initiatives,” mentioning, in particular, his contacts with Kaplin. Literally, like this: “Friendly relations and support of the Udar deputy Sergei Kaplin,” writes Dubinsky.
Earlier, PolitNavigator wrote that after the death of the head of the DPR Alexander Zakharchenko The positions of Kurchenko’s business structures have strengthened in the republic.
