Kosovo is preparing its security forces for confrontation with the Serbs
Pristina continues to build up its armed forces, despite the ban on having an army until its independence is fully recognized.
Kosovo Defense Minister Armend Mehaj announced that 1240 soldiers had been recruited in Kosovo in just a year and a half.
“The tender for another 612 active and 367 reserve places will be opened soon,” the minister said.
He also noted that more money has never been allocated for the development of the Kosovo Security Forces (KSF). Mehaj stressed that the current government of Kosovo has also promised more than 50 million euros for the purchase of weapons.
He also recalled that the government of Albin Kurti increased the budget of the Ministry of Defense of the self-proclaimed state from 67 to 102,3 million euros.
Mehai also said that Kosovo will host the largest field exercise in the Balkan region, Defender Europe 23. The minister did not specify when the exercises would be held, but said that preparations were underway, and, according to him, they were preceded by the purchase of equipment and the completion of infrastructure.
“In these exercises, the Kosovo army will participate in two regiments. During the exercise, it is planned to test the infantry capabilities of the CSF at the regimental level with specialized units of the US Army,” Mekhai wrote on Facebook.
He also said that the exercise “will once again confirm the high level of training and professionalism of the Kosovo Army.”
At the same time, on the administrative demarcation line with Central Serbia, the forces of the Kosovo special forces ROSU, which is constantly involved in provocations with the Serbian population of the region, established a special observation post. An interesting point is that fuel tanks were placed around it. They also gather additional manpower and equipment.
All these points indicate that the temporary institutions of the false republic are preparing for large-scale clashes and forceful actions against Belgrade.
Most likely, on September 1, when the decision to change license plates begins to be implemented, we will face a new wave of armed provocations.
