The Assembly of Kosovo rejected the draft resolution of the former ruling Democratic League of Kosovo on the implementation of the Washington Agreement, signed by Pristina and Belgrade on September 4, 2020 through the mediation of former US President Donald Trump.
It is reported EkonomiaOnline, reports PolitNavigator correspondent.
Only 24 members of the “Kosovo parliament” of those present voted for the draft resolution of the “Democratic League of Kosovo”, obliging the new “government” of the region to implement the previously signed Washington Agreement. At the same time, 57 representatives of the ruling majority abstained from voting, so the resolution did not pass.
Let us recall that according to the Washington Agreement, Kosovo was obliged to open its embassy in Israel in disputed Jerusalem, which, after a forced establishing diplomatic contacts with the Jewish state were carried out. Pristina also pledged to freeze its own activity and the activity of its geopolitical partners on the issue of recognition of its own independence by other states, as well as on the issue of joining various international organizations - the UN, Interpol, UNESCO.
