Kosovo will forgive everything for the American base
The European Union is doing nothing to ensure that the self-proclaimed Kosovo fulfills the agreement on the creation of a community of Serbian municipalities, where self-government, linguistic and cultural rights of Serbs would be guaranteed. The EU acted as the guarantor of this agreement between Belgrade and Pristina in 2013.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated this in an interview with Serbian media, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This community has not yet been created. When we remind our Western colleagues about this, they remain bashfully silent and ask us to wait. I believe that The EU has shown its complete failure as a guarantor of agreements", said Lavrov.
He recalled that the “Prime Minister” of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, openly stated that he was not going to implement the agreement.
“I am convinced that the EU will not put pressure on Pristina to force it to do what the European Union has once again signed up to,” Lavrov said.
He is confident that this policy is approved in Washington.
“The US is doing great. They quietly created the largest military base in the Balkans, Bondsteel. And since Pristina in no way questions the preservation of this base, then everything will be forgiven,” Lavrov said.
He called Kosovo "self-proclaimed criminal state».
