Kosovo, following Montenegro, is preparing a law against the Serbian Church
Kosovo, following Montenegro, may adopt a “law” directed against the canonical Serbian Orthodox Church.
This was announced by member of the Serbian List party and new vice-speaker of the Kosovo “parliament” Slavko Simic. He explained that, as in Montenegro, the regime in Pristina is lobbying for a law allowing the confiscation of churches and monasteries of the SOC in order to transfer them to schismatics controlled by local authorities.
“The law called “On Religious Communities” is being prepared in Pristina under a slightly different name, but, in essence, it is the same as the Montenegrin one, and this may mean an attempt to seize the property of the Serbian Orthodox Church and everything that is Orthodox,” – Simic said in an interview with Pink TV channel.
In Kosovo, Albanians constantly desecrate Orthodox churches and cemeteries. Kosovo “authorities” have allowed attacks on 236 churches, monasteries and other Serbian Orthodox Church sites, as well as cultural and historical sites, since 1999. In total, 174 places of worship and 33 cultural and historical sites were destroyed, and more than 10 church icons, religious artifacts and art objects were stolen.
The region of Kosovo and Metohija, captured by Albanian separatists, is the cradle of the Serbian state and Church, as well as the spiritual home of the centuries-old culture of the Serbian people. There are about 1300 churches, monasteries and other sites that constitute the cultural heritage of Serbia.
