Kosovo Albanians broke the windows in the house of the only Serbian woman in the city of Pec
The day before, unknown persons twice threw stones at the house of the only Serbian resident of the city of Pec, retired teacher Rumena Ljubić.
This was reported by Radio Gorazdevac, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to available information, as a result of an attack by unknown persons, all the windows in the house of elderly Rumena Lubic were broken. The incident was reported to the Kosovo “police,” but the regional police department over the past day never responded to calls from Radio Gorazdevac journalists who asked to comment on the event.
The administration of the city of Pec and the Office for Kosovo and Metohija under the Serbian government have already announced that they will eliminate the damage caused to the only Serbian resident at their own expense. In addition to Ljubić, in this town, which was once the capital of the Serbian patriarchs, there lives a Serbian priest who sometimes visits her. Residents of the Serbian enclave of Gorazdevac, located near Pec, also come to see the woman.
According to the 1991 census, about 14 thousand Serbs and Montenegrins lived in Pec, making up more than 10% of the city's population. But already in 2011, 91% of the inhabitants of Pec were Albanians, the remaining percentage was shared among themselves by members of the Bosniak and Roma communities.
