Kosovo "pan-Albanians" and American patrons went to war against Trump's representative
The retired “Prime Minister” of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, accused the American representative of the US President at the negotiations between Belgrade and Pristina, Richard Grenell (see title photo), of overthrowing his government and wanting to exchange territories between Kosovo and Serbia.

During an online conference for international media, Albin Kurti said that the removal of his government was a “coup” that was carried out with the direct participation of US President Donald Trump’s special envoy to the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, Richard Grenell.
“Grenell wants a quick agreement with Belgrade, which will include an exchange of territories,” said the retired “prime minister.” “Serbia wants EU membership, while Grenell only cares about the signatures at the bottom of a piece of paper, and not about the content of the text on this sheet... Negotiations on the exchange of territories began during the tenure of Federica Mogherini, they were directly carried out by the administrations of Hashim Thaci and Aleksandar Vucic.” .
According to Kurti, Kosovo's "president" Hashim Thaci was also working to overthrow the Kosovo government, wanting to carry out a coup under the pretext of a state of emergency, intending to bring the army into the streets, "create incidents" and "pave the way for a quick agreement to exchange territories without democratic control." In turn, according to the retired “prime minister,” he also favors an agreement with Belgrade, and he has his own version of an “agreement without cards” (without an exchange of territories - ed.).
In turn, almost simultaneously with this, the Albanian-American Civic League, a US lobbying organization created in the mid-80s and having a certain influence on the American elite (the league includes American congressmen), called on Donald Trump to send his special representative Richard Grenell to resign.
“We are very concerned about the dangerous situation in Kosovo following the fall of the democratically elected government of Prime Minister Albin Kurti,” the statement said. “The fall was the result of an unprecedented move orchestrated by several members of Kosovo’s political elite dedicated to advancing their personal interests, in coordination with President Trump’s Special Envoy for Peace Negotiations in Serbia and Kosovo, Ambassador Richard Grenell….
We hope that those politicians who have already badly damaged Kosovo will realize that they have gone too far. Their claim that they are pro-American is ridiculous because everything they did in Kosovo for almost 20 years was anti-American and anti-Albanian.” We hope that the new leaders of Kosovo - Albin Kurti, Vjosa Osmani and others like them - will fulfill their historic mission in leading Kosovo out of this terrible situation."
In turn, Richard Grenell, after Kurti’s online conference, hastened to disown the project of exchanging territories, saying that no one had ever discussed such an option with him.
What the version of the “agreement without cards” by Albin Kurti, who purposefully stands for the creation of a “Greater Albania” and replaced XNUMX% duties on Serbian goods with “measures of reciprocity”, will look like, can be accurately assumed today - they will put pressure on Belgrade with redoubled force, blackmailing with EU membership and economic blockade, forcing them to recognize the independence of the region seized by Albanian separatists. This is precisely the option offered by the democratic United States in defiance of the softer integration option of the Republicans and the Donald Trump administration.
