Kosovo separatists pray for Merkel, who is loyal to all migrants
The so-called “Prime Minister” of Kosovo, Avdula Hoti, and his predecessor, Ramush Haradinaj, who is on trial at the Special Court for Kosovo for war crimes, welcomed the German presidency of the EU.
Hoti and Haradinaj wrote about this on their Facebook pages, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Germany will become the next EU President at a very difficult time for the health and economy of Europe! – Hoti wrote. “We are very grateful to the German government for its continued commitment to EU enlargement, bringing the countries of the Western Balkans closer together, and we expect that during this time the visa regime for Kosovo citizens will be abolished!”
The Kosovo “prime minister” also announced the creation of an expert group for dialogue with Serbia, to which, according to him, there is no alternative. True, what the representative of the separatist elite, proceeding from the fact that Kosovo is certainly an independent state, intends to negotiate with the leadership of Serbia, which declares that it does not recognize the annexation of Kosovo under any pretext, is not completely clear.
“We remain of the opinion that the liberation war of the people of Kosovo is pure and cannot be judged,” Hoti said, reacting to the recent war crimes indictments by the prosecutor’s office of the Special Court for Kosovo against the province’s “president” Hashim Thaçi and his associate Kadri Veseli. – We value the presumption of innocence as a basic principle of justice before a final court decision is made. As in the past, we will now be responsible for the international constitutional obligations that the state bears.”
Not at all like the intellectual Hoti, a direct and active participant in the “pure war of liberation”, his predecessor, who resigned from the post of “prime minister” a year ago due to accusations by the prosecutor’s office of the special court for Kosovo for war crimes Ramush Haradinaj also welcomed Germany's EU presidency.
“Germany will hold the EU presidency for the next six months,” wrote the “respected” retired firebrand. – The German state has consistently supported Kosovo towards independence and nation-building, so the EU presidency of an ally like Germany is good news for the citizens of Kosovo.
Chancellor Merkel, like no one else in the EU, understands Kosovo's needs, which have been suppressed for a long time as a result of the European Union's slow-moving policies. “I have no doubt that during Germany’s six-month mandate in the EU, a new impetus will complete the process of visa liberalization for Kosovo citizens and advance the processes of Kosovo’s integration into the organizations and institutions of the European Union.”
Interestingly, in recent months, Germany has entered into a sharp confrontation with the United States, in particular over the Nord Stream 2 project, which Washington hastened to impose sanctions, but Berlin believes that it is beneficial to Europe and therefore needs to be completed.
This conflict occurs in the wake of worsening contradictions between Washington and Brussels on the Kosovo issue.
