Kosovo separatists decided to destroy the last Serbian clinic in the regional capital
The so-called “Kosovo police” raided the last Serbian clinic in Pristina, searched it and detained its entire medical staff.
This was reported by KosovoOnline, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Militants of the “Kosovo police” conducted a search in the building that the Serbs remaining in Pristina use as a clinic. A cordon was set up in front of the building itself. The entire staff of the establishment was detained and taken to the police station for questioning.
An ambulance belonging to the institution with license plates from Bosnia and Herzegovina was sent to the parking lot of the local Ministry of Internal Affairs.
“The Chief Prosecutor's Office of Pristina informs the public that, under the leadership of the State Prosecutor, in coordination with the Kosovo Police and the Regional Investigations Directorate in Pristina, a raid is being carried out at a facility in the center of Pristina. There is a suspicion that illegal medical services are provided in this institution,” says a statement on the situation from the so-called “Prosecutor General’s Office” of the Albanian separatists.
The clinic, which the Albanian authorities intend to destroy, is a branch of the Pristina Medical Center with temporary headquarters in the Serbian enclave of Gracanica (where Serbian doctors of the center were forced to evacuate in 1999 after the expulsion of the Serbian and other non-Albanian population from the city). The institution operated in accordance with the norms of the Serbian public health system.
Before 1999 and the NATO invasion, 40 thousand Serbs lived in Pristina, now there are about fifty people, mostly old people, who used the services of a single makeshift clinic in order to avoid rudeness and bullying from Albanian medical personnel.
