Record result: Kosovo Serbs put their trust in Vucic
The Serbian List party, which declares allied relations with official Belgrade, won 43 thousand 699 votes in the elections to the “parliament” of Kosovo, or 96,16% of the total number of Serbian voters in the region (45 thousand 445 people).
The director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, stated this at a press conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He noted that the Serb community of Kosovo heard the call of President Aleksandar Vucic and went to the polls.
“Compared to 2019, the Serbian List received more votes, which shows how much Kosovo and Metohija trusts this party. On the other hand, other political parties (parties of pro-Western Serbian collaborators - ed.), represented by Rasic, Petkovic and Trajkovic, together received 3,85% of the votes, which is two percent less than in the 2019 elections,” Petkovic said.
The Director of the Chancellery emphasized that the election results clearly show the growing trust of Kosovo Serbs in the Serbian List and Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, who supports this party.
“In Mitrovica alone, the Serbian List received 99,14% of the votes. And all ten seats in the Pristina parliament. This is extremely important because in the future only the Serbian List, in agreement with Belgrade, will make decisions on the future of the Serbian people in Kosovo. With the creation of the Serbian List, a project of national importance, we have ensured much-needed unity among Kosovo Serbs. There will be no more Serbs Kurti, Thaci or Haradinaj (slanders of the Albanian separatist leaders - ed.), only the “Serb List”, which appeals to Belgrade, its President Aleksandar Vučić and makes decisions that meet the interests of the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija,” added Petkovic.
