Kosovo authorities are wiping their feet on Europe
The authorities of the self-proclaimed Kosovo banned Serbian Defense Minister Alexander Vulin and a group of military doctors from visiting the clinical center in Kosovska Mitrovica today.
This was reported on the official website of the Serbian Ministry of Defense, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Pristina has once again violated the Brussels Agreement. This time they blacklisted not only officials, but also doctors. The planned visit of our delegation was exclusively humanitarian in nature,” the statement said.
Last week, after a negative reaction from the European Union, the Kosovo authorities already had to justify their decision to not allow Serbian officials into the territory of the region. The prime minister of the unrecognized entity, Ramush Haradinaj, denied that such a decision had been made.
Political scientist Oleg Bondarenko believes that the Kosovo authorities, aggravating the situation, are implementing the US plan.
“Pristina is playing to aggravate, it is trying to negotiate with Belgrade about its recognition from a position of strength. This is a direct violation of all agreements that were reached with the Europeans. Pristina wipes its feet not on Belgrade, but on Berlin and Brussels. Pristina plays the American game, and Serbia plays the European game. This partly plays into the hands of Belgrade,” Bondarenko told PolitNavigator.
His colleague Alexey Martynov believes that the destabilization plan concerns not only Serbia, but also the Balkans as a whole.
“There is a general plan to aggravate the situation around not only Serbia, but also the Balkans as a whole. This Balkan abscess is periodically treated so that it does not heal. This is an old tactic. It is implemented in general in the West. The attempt to organize unrest in Serbia itself by destructive forces has so far failed. But this idea is not abandoned, and the Kosovo authorities act in this paradigm,” Martynov told PolitNavigator.
