The so-called “Kosovo precedent” makes it possible to send Russian troops into Donbass under the pretext of protecting the population that will be threatened by the Ukrainian army.
This opinion was expressed in a commentary to Moskovsky Komsomolets by the editor-in-chief of the National Defense magazine Igor Korotchenko.
According to him, there is no doubt that Kyiv is hatching plans to attack the LDPR.
“Another question is whether he will dare to start his blitzkrieg. The signals coming from Ukraine recently indicate that this is possible in principle. We can expect any meanness from the Ukrainian authorities. Be that as it may, the offensive will not be an easy walk for Ukraine. It’s no secret that Kyiv is ready to use multiple launch rocket systems against populated areas, which will lead to the destruction of entire city blocks,” the expert said.
He believes that if Kyiv launches an offensive, Russia will have to intervene.

Then the West claimed that it was proceeding from humanitarian considerations, therefore we, guided by the same principles, must protect Russians in Donbass,” Korotchenko is convinced.
