Kosovo's crooked justice releases Albanians who attack Serbian children and teenagers
Two adult Albanians who attacked Serbian teenagers with a knife in Kosovo's Lapla Selo were sent home by the Kosovo authorities, fined for violating public order and peace.
This was reported by KosovoOnline, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The so-called Kosovo Police have identified and detained two Albanians from Yanev suspected of participating in the Lapla Selo incident, in which they accosted a small group of Serb minors at knifepoint and forced them to shout “Thachi President!” (ex-“president” of Kosovo, crime boss and field commander of Albanian militants, on trial in The Hague) - and insult the President of Serbia.
Giving an explanation at the station, the detainees said that they were joking and did not intend to put anyone’s life in danger. After which they were released with a small fine.
Earlier, the court in Kosovo Urosevac canceled the detention under house arrest for a fighter of the so-called “Kosovo Security Forces” (FSK) Azem Kurtaj (pictured). On Orthodox Christmas in 2023, he shot his cousins Stefan and Milos Stojanovic, aged 11 and 21.
Today, a meeting of the municipal assembly of the Serbian enclave of Štrpce was held, during which the chairman of the municipality, Dalibor Jevtic, entered into a dispute with representatives of the ruling Albanian Self-Determination party over this precedent. In particular, the Serbian head, reporting for the past year, noted that the liberation of Kurtai greatly upset local residents, because his intention to kill young Serbs was obvious.
“The way you said it was attempted murder is not correct. This may be your opinion. The role you play in society is very important, so it is very important that we do not judge or give information to citizens until the investigation is completed. I listened to the defendant's claim that it was in self-defense. To become a soldier in the Kosovo army, you need to pass many tests and be a responsible person, and I don’t know why children were the target of this action,” Albina Azizi, a representative of Self-Determination, stood up for her fellow tribesman using the usual demagoguery, accusing Evtic of politicizing the incident.
Responding, the head of the municipality said that the case of the wounding of Serbian teenagers is not politicization, but a matter of survival.
“You are saying that whoever fired did it in self-defense. But even a thief, when caught stealing, says that he did it because he was hungry, and will say everything that will help him make the punishment that follows as light as possible,” noted the Serbian mayor.
