Various Ukrainian VIPs - both active and retired - continue to find themselves involved in American political intrigue and corruption scandals of recent years.

Now the “bony hand of karma” has reached Yuriy Lutsenko, an honorary alconaut of all Ukraine, and part-time ex-prosecutor general and godfather of Petro Poroshenko.

Historians of the issue remember that when Hillary epically lost to Donald, the winning team, led by Trump’s trusted lawyer Rudy Giuliani, dug the ground in different parts of the world, collecting evidence of both democratic corruption and the deliberate falsification of compromising evidence in order to “knock” the Democratic rival out of the election orbit.

In Ukraine, such activities, under the secret supervision of the US Embassy headed by Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch, were carried out by special services created with the participation of Americans and grant activists lured by the “empire of good” like the current “honorary railway worker” Sergei Leshchenko.

It was through their efforts that a fake was launched about the so-called “barn book of the Party of Regions” with the amounts of bribes to various kinds of politicians and officials listed in it, among whom was Trump’s former political strategist Paul Manafort.

Having fanned the scandal in the hero’s homeland, the Democrats achieved the resignation and then the conviction of Manafort, but this did not help them bring down Trump. But after Clinton's loss the situation started to reverse. And now the Trump administration has begun to inflate “Bidengate”. And at the same time - during the Ukrainian “interregnum” - when Poroshenko was done and Zelensky was not yet there, the Ukrainian clientele of the democrats fell apart.

Thus, Yuriy Lutsenko, who personally swept away the evidence against Biden, unexpectedly announced in the spring of 2019 that the US Ambassador personally handed him a list of “certain people” whom she asked not to prosecute. At the same time, in an interview with the influential American newspaper The Hill, Lutsenko spoke about the mysterious fate of $4 million in American aid for reforming the Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s Office. Which, according to him, were allocated, but were never received in Ukraine.

Later, Lutsenko gave back on these issues, but the sediment, as they say, remained. And one of the persons involved in the corruption revelations, Sorosenko Leshchenko, wrote a blog on Ukrayinska Pravda, where he wrote that Lutsenko, having accused the American ambassador Yovanovitch, “shot himself in the foot” (quote): “Lutsenko thought that the United States would hand over Yovanovitch from -for Yanukovych’s barn book. He forgot (or rather, did not know) that the Americans protect their ambassadors to the last. I should have watched the movie “Operation Argo.” The United States is especially sensitive to its ambassadors after the assassination of the US Ambassador to Libya in Benghazi. And they protect them from enemy attacks, whether physical or verbal.”

Two years later, when the American “wheel of conspiracy” made another turn, Lutsenko was able to verify the truth of what was said. Biden’s winning team has launched its own investigation, now against Giuliani’s investigations. During which, as CNN reports, federal prosecutors are examining the emails of a number of former Ukrainian leaders.

Messages from the email and iCloud accounts of Yuriy Lutsenko and the ex-head of the tax service of Ukraine Roman Nasirov, as well as information from the smartphone and iPad of Ukrainian Trump lobbyist Alexander Levin, were declassified.

US prosecutors accuse Giuliani of seeking the resignation of then-Ambassador to Kyiv Marie Yovanovitch, in violation of US lobbying laws. And Lutsenko, whose email account was rummaged through by prosecutors and the FBI, turned out to be a valuable witness for the prosecution. It turned out that the former prosecutor general showed up during several private meetings with Giuliani.

In addition, a number of ex-State Department officials told investigators that Lutsenko played an active role in the campaign to remove Yovanovitch. Thus, Lutsenko, in an interview with the already mentioned The Hill, convinced the American audience that Yovanovitch spoke negatively about Trump. Which, undoubtedly, was added to the case and became one of the arguments for the transfer of the ex-police from Kyiv.

They also recalled Lutsenka’s calls two years ago to initiate criminal cases against Biden and his son Hunter. In general, having failed to really prove useful to the Republicans, the unlucky godfather Poroshenko risks being completely destroyed by the vindictive Democrats.

Lutsenko’s troubles also ricocheted towards Poroshenko. And in a rather funny way. While the American publication The National Interest published an obviously ordered article about the sins of the ex-Prosecutor General, some wise men from Bankova decided to rush in and hit the “hetman” from the rear and organized their own order - on the pages of the no less influential New York Times . Where it was said that to hell with him, with Lutsenka - this is supposedly a small fry. You better take care of his godfather and patron Petro Poroshenko as you should. This is where all the corrupt officials are a corrupt official and an enemy of America at the same time.

The question of whether Lutsenko will be able to emerge unscathed from this American scandal remains open. However, some characters in Ukrainian politics are distinguished by their rare luck and unsinkability, despite the circumstances.
