Kyiv, December 14 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Raichenko) – Moscow proposes maintaining the DPR and LPR as part of Ukraine in order to then achieve the collapse of the country.
This interpretation of the latest events around Donbass is given by the Kiev weekly Focus, according to which the softening of the Kremlin’s rhetoric towards Kyiv does not mean that Moscow is “leaving the game.”

“It seems that the Kremlin has set a tactical goal to convince Kyiv to start funding the DPR and LPR as autonomies,” the publication suggests. – Putin has been fond of repeating lately: the cessation of budget funding for part of Donbass threatens the east of Ukraine with a humanitarian catastrophe. That is, in fact, Russia is offering peace in exchange for Kiev maintaining territories that have declared themselves republics.”
However, even in this case, the Kiev magazine sees here exclusively the evil intent and treachery of the Kremlin.
