Ukrainian political scientist Vyacheslav Kovtun believes that the story of the fake murder of fugitive Russian journalist Arkady Babchenko in Kyiv has dispelled the myth of the all-powerful FSB.

He stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel.

“Why did your Investigative Committee, based on media reports, open a criminal case that same evening? This is a failure of the FSB. It, having such long tentacles, was unable to find out through its agents that he was alive. You should have known this, you have the most powerful intelligence service in the world. They don't work well! You fell for the divorce. It turns out your special services are a paper tiger,” Kovtun said.

His accusations were commented on by former People's Deputy of Ukraine Vladimir Oleynik.

“Consider that you have spoken with Poroshenko. Imagine how hard it is for the Ukrainian people. The country is run by moral monsters and scoundrels. They hit the bottom and went to the other world,” Oleynik said.
