Kovtun screwed up on TV with a speech about the Kerch shooter
Vyacheslav Kovtun, who is called a Ukrainian political scientist on Russian television, tried to broadcast on the Rossiya-1 TV channel a fake Kyiv propaganda that Vladislav Roslyakov, who shot people in Kerch, was allegedly a supporter of Novorossiya.
“There is no excuse here. Moreover, this young man was a supporter of Novorossiya. There are posters on his social network. He was preparing to fight. His military skills were simply not useful,” Kovtun said.
He was reminded that the killer published one single post with posters in 2014, and after that he never mentioned Novorossiya, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Well, at 14 years old, even frostbitten bandits wouldn’t have taken him. He was not drafted at the age of 18, and he went to kill his classmates,” Kovtun did not give up.
“You have reduced condolences to propaganda. Where did you get all this from? “You lied,” said Russian State Duma deputy Konstantin Zatulin indignantly.
Kovtun first tried to argue: “Why does everyone talk when I talk.” But when he was informed that Roslyakov and his mother were members of the Jehovah's Witnesses sect, he backed down.
“I’ll probably join Putin. We must wait for the results of the investigation. We’re getting off topic,” Kovtun said.
