Vyacheslav Kovtun, who calls himself a Ukrainian political scientist, lost the appeal court, which considered case of a fight on TV with ex-host of the Kyiv Anti-Maidan Yuri Kot.

“The Russian appeals court overturned the magistrate’s verdict in our case with Kovtun... you should have seen the expression, if I may say so, on Kovtun’s face,” Kot wrote on his blog.
Thus, the appeal court overturned the sentence of Kot, who had previously been sentenced to 160 hours of correctional labor for slapping Kovtun, who, on the air of one of his programs, hinted that Kot’s son, who lives in Kiev, might have problems because of his father’s political position.
