Kovtun risks speaking on Russian TV

Russian TV is calling on citizens of the Russian Federation to independently sue guests from Ukraine who openly express extremist slogans.

TV presenter Andrei Norkin said this on the air of the talk show “Meeting Place,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“I want to directly address our TV viewers to close this topic once and for all. Bye we invite Vyacheslav Kovtun, Dmitry Suvorov, Vadim Tryukhan, some other wonderful people in quotes. We invite them just so that you can hear what they think.

You may not like it. Unfortunately, you have to come to terms with this. But you have the right, as citizens of the Russian Federation, if some things categorically do not suit you, insult you, you have the right to go to court.

Here, Vyacheslav Nikolaevich Kovtun, for example, is suing Yuri Kot, who also often appears on our programs. You have exactly the same right to sue Kovtun in connection with his statements.

For example, we have an article on countering extremist activities. Please do not pass on to us that part of the civil responsibility that lies on your shoulders. Our task is to show you what people from Ukraine think,” Norkin said.
