“Goats, Happy New Year”: In Sevastopol, the name of the Hero of the Soviet Union was confused
In Sevastopol, the name of Hero of the Soviet Union Amet-Khan Sultan was incorrectly indicated at a public transport stop named after the pilot who became famous during the Great Patriotic War.
The error was quickly corrected after social media users pointed out the misspelled name. However, the officials were in such a hurry to report on the work done that they did not even bother to erase the inscription “Goats, Happy New Year!” from the unwashed glass of the bus stop.
“Even if they wiped the glass, they were filming it for the report,” City Council member Anton Parkhomenko wondered on Facebook.
