“KP”: Poland turns migrants into “Putin’s free weapons”
The statement by Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, who accused Moscow of involvement in the migration crisis at the border, is an attempt to present his country as a “protector” from Russia.
A PolitNavigator correspondent reports this, Komsomolskaya Pravda writes.
According to the author of the publication, the migration crisis itself, when we are talking about 2-5 thousand refugees, can be solved without problems.
“The West, and the UN Commissariat for Refugees, have all the capabilities for this - both financial and organizational. After all, the European Union has accommodated about two million refugees from the countries of the Middle East and Africa destroyed by the wars started by the United States and its allies. But the Belarusian-Polish border is not the Italian island of Lampedusa, where, if you get there, then consider yourself to have found happiness. Here the situation is different - the Poles caught a migrant, and immediately turned into “Putin’s free weapon.” The poor guys are out of luck,” the newspaper writes.
It is not yet clear, the article says, whether Belarus will face the new sanctions demanded by the Poles for migrants.
“But the only uncertainty is whether Minsk will be “punished” or they will immediately try to “impose” something sanctioned on Moscow. Another thing is obvious: until now, the eastern “front” of the European Union with the Russian “Mordor” was held by the Baltic states and the Ukrainians who joined them. It’s just the geography – Poland doesn’t border us. But now the Poles have puffed out their chests to protect the West from Russia. It’s not even respectable for a country that seems to be laying claim to the status of one of the EU centers. The center (lords) must be protected by limitrophes (slaves). Is it possible that Poland now also has the status of the latter?” the publication sums up.
